Inner Peace is a traditionally roasted Tieguanyin from Taiwan. In contrast to modern day Tieguanyins that are roasted extremely light, a traditional roast makes for a dark and rich brew. This tea is grounding and calming and perfect for a focused gong fu session, as well as a casual moment of stillness. Because of her traditional roasting, Inner Peace ages beautifully in a sealed jar.
This pale gold tea coats your mouth with notes of hay and syrup. The liquid is thick and oily and the taste lingers for minutes, warming your stomach.
The perfect tea to help you wind down after a hectic week or long afternoon. She’s also a wonderful companion for a deep conversation with a friend or an hour of quiet time with yourself.
BrewingPlacing a few rolled pearls in a bowl is the easiest way to start: pour hot water over the leaves and refill after drinking. To explore her more deeply, try a gong fu session. Start with short, repeated infusions and slightly increase the steeping time throughout the session. When you let her steep too long the taste might turn bitter.
