These bowls were specifically made for tea ceremony, by Dutch potter and chajin (tea person) Xander. They’re made of French clay and have a blue coloring with darker brown spots. Every bowl is unique, which creates a beautiful arrangement when sitting in ceremony with a group of people. The bottom of the bowls is sanded down, giving them smooth stand.
These bowls have a more glassy surface as compared to our white bowls. This makes then not change much during use and will reflect the taste of the tea more as opposed to smoothing the tea.When you order a bowl, we’ll select one randomly. As each bowl is different, the pattern may differ from the one on the pictures. The dimensions slightly differ with each bowl as well.
