Stone Mist Tea Bowl

These Stone Mist bowls are made especially for tea ceremony by Dutch potter and chajin (tea person) Xander.
Formed from stoneware clay and finished with a soft grey glaze, each bowl is dusted with dark speckles – like morning mist settling on stone.

Every piece is unique in curve and pattern, so when several are gathered in ceremony they form a quiet, harmonious landscape.
The base of each bowl is carefully sanded, giving it a smooth and stable stand on table or tatami.

The surface is gently glassy, allowing the character of the tea to be reflected clearly in aroma and taste.

When you order a bowl, we will select one for you intuitively. As each bowl is handmade, the exact pattern and dimensions will differ slightly from the ones shown in the photos.
