Hendi Infrared hotplate

This hotplate was made for professional kitchens and it shows. Manufactured out of aluminum with rubber feet and a big sturdy handle on the top and bottom. The handles can be removed via screws on the inside of the unit.

It has a massive 2200 watt of power that it delivers with 2 active zones:

• When turning on, it powers on a smaller diameter ring in the middle. You can adjust the power up to the setting of 3.
• When turning the knob above 3, the whole ring will light up and use 100% of its power.

We have been using one for over 5 years now and are very pleased with it.

Pros:

• No fans inside (there is a clicking sound when the heating element turns on)
• Extremely stable heating for multiple kettles. Smaller/cheaper hotplates will slow down after the first kettle.

Cons:

• Pretty big and bulky
• Not useable on 110 Volts
• To use the full ring on full power you'll need a big kettle
